CHAPTER 6. AMUSEMENTS.*
Sec. 6-9. Same -- Investigation of applicant and premises.
Before approving or disapproving the application, the city
manager shall refer the application to the chief of police and fire chief for
investigation and report to the city manager.
(a) It shall be the duty of the chief of police to examine
carefully into the moral character of the applicant, and to further examine into
any and all matters relating to such application which might assist the city
manager in determining whether or not the application should be approved, and
make his recommendation thereon to the city manager.
(b) It shall be the duty of the fire chief to ascertain
whether or not the premises to be used are suitable, proper, and adequate, and
comply with the law relating to the scope, jurisdiction, and duties of his
department, and make his recommendation thereon to the city manager. (Ord. No.
