Sec. 33-8.5. Operating regulations for shuttles.

(a) Route. Any driver employed to transport passengers to a definite point shall carry each passenger to his/her respective destination in a safe and expeditious manner except that the most direct route is not required in order to accommodate the pick-up and delivery of other passengers.

(b) Refusing Service. No owner or driver is required to furnish shuttle service to any person under the influence of intoxicating liquor or narcotics, or to any person who is insane or who is a criminal.

(c) Receipt. Every driver, upon request, shall give a correct receipt for the amount of payment required.

(d) Number of Passengers. No driver of any shuttle shall accept, take into the vehicle or transport any larger number of passengers than the rated seated capacity of the vehicle.

(e) Parking. It is unlawful for any shuttle or remain standing in any established public taxicab stand.

(f) Display of Driver's Permit. Every driver shall at all times display his/her driver's permit in a conspicuous place in the shuttle which is being operated.

(g) Display of Shuttle Rates. Every driver shall at all times display current rates approved by council for shuttle service. (Ord. No. 2244 (NCS), § 8.)
