Appeals Board
The Board of Appeals determines the suitability of alternate building materials, methods of construction, and provides reasonable interpretations of the provisions of the various building codes. The board is composed of five members who serve indefinite terms at the pleasure of the City Council. Members are exempt from residency requirements. However, they are involved in Salinas through their business or employment.
Meeting Schedule
The Appeals Board meets on an "on-call" basis. Call (831) 758-7261 for general information or questions regarding agendas/minutes.
