The City of Salinas Code Enforcement Division and Police Department (SPD) have partnered to improve the health and safety in our community. Over the past 12 months, Code Enforcement and SPD have evaluated high-risk businesses in the City. SPD conducted operations to address potential criminal elements at these establishments, which led to several arrests. Code Enforcement followed up with health and safety inspections, and the establishments in violation were closed. The combined efforts of Code Enforcement and SPD resulted in removal of six (6) high risk businesses for building, fire, electrical, plumbing, or health violations within our City.

These efforts were a success and demonstrate how Salinas is a better when we work together. The City supports the business community and encourages them to succeed by following all local and state requirements.

For more information or if you have concerns of a potential high-risk business, please report your concerns through SalinasConnect, or you can contact Code Enforcement at 831-758-7157 or the Salinas Police Department at 831-758-7090.
